2018 Arns Chardonnay “Searby Vineyards” Sonoma Coast

ARNS Sonoma Coast – 2018 Sonoma County Chardonnay is ready for release! Searby Vineyard is again the source of grapes for this vintage. These old Chardonnay vines are some of the oldest in Sonoma County. The dry farmed, low yielding, vineyard is directly influenced by the Pacific Ocean with foggy mornings and a cool coastal climate. They are managed by Charlie Heintz, who is an old time farmer with a modern attitude about how things should grow. This vivid, fresh, forthcoming and well-rounded wine includes notes of green apple, fresh lime, pineapple, mango, lemon blossom, and peach pit. A terroir-driven river stone minerality remains the hallmark of this vineyard site.

The 2018 is our fourth vintage from this vineyard. Our winemaker insists on long term aging and 100% new French oak to bring out the best these grapes have to offer. This bottling was lightly filtered for clarity. You can savor now or set aside in your private cellar for some time to come. The style of this wine is French White Burgundy which pairs nicely with a variety of foods including your favorite cheese, seafood, and poultry.
